A fusion of two genres Kahreign grew up listening to from South Manchester to South Africa, UK Funky and Afrohouse. 'Is What It Is' is a bouncy, summer production fitted with a message about letting go and opening better doors. The song takes you back to the early 2000s 'skanking' grooves that came out of the UK funky house scene along with some relatable lyrics. It is a fierce, high-energy track that begs the listener to connect with the message and dance.
