Kahreign releases feel-good, Amapiano banger with major international South African duo, Vista & DJ Catzico

Kahreign marks her 2nd independent release of the year with new single ‘Let Me In’. The project is Kahreign’s biggest collaboration to date with her uniting with South African producers Vista and DJ Catzico. Both producers are forces to be reckoned with in the gqom, Durban hip-hop, house and Amapiano genres of South Africa. Award winning composers Vista and DJ Catzico hold credits on international hits. As long-term creative partners, Vista and DJ Catzico we’re under the mentorship of DJ Maphorisa when signed to Maphorisa’s Blaqboy Music/Sony. The two forces contributed to a string of hits for DJ Maphorisa’s Gqom Wave Vol 1 and 2 in 2017 and 2018.

Vista contributed to the making of hits such as Patoranking’s ‘Available’, as well as Mr Real’s ‘Legbegbe Remix’, while DJ Catzico showed his magic on albums such as The West Ink Banger by Westink Records, Gobisiqolo EP by Bhizer and Mlu’s A Day for the Universe.

Along their succession of hits, Vista reached out to Manchester’s very own Kahreign to collaborate as artists. The two immediately established a strong working relationship which led to the creation of the new single ‘Let Me In’, co-produced with DJ Catzico.

The project marks South Manchester-based Kahreign’s ascension through an afro-soul sound. Earlier this year, Kahreign marked her new musical journey with the self-produced single ‘Is What It Is’. The roots of the sound stem from the rich South African Amapiano genre that has taken the globe by storm over the past year. Let Me In is a track straight from the source, the heart of the Amapiano takeover with its makers flying the colours of cities such as Durban and Johannesburg.

Kahreign taps into an alluring, fierce and sensual tone vocally on the production. The lyrics call you into a blissful experience of uniting with an energy that moves you and ‘takes you places you’ve never been before’. The result is a powerhouse collaboration between the three artists on a pulsating song that truly celebrates love, passion and inner-unfolding.
